💨The great X-odus is underway!

Many longtime users of X (formerly known as Twitter) have been seeking an escape from billionaire Elon Musk's far-right controlled platform polluted by algorithms promoting hate speech, misinformation and plenty of Russian bots. More than 1-million users have joined the social media platform Bluesky since the US election.

☺️Bluesky is a reminder of social media before it was terrible and rage inducing

While Bluesky functions much like the old Twitter, users have been commenting a sense of calm and relief of the platform being freed of AI generated garbage and promoted posts from anonymous accounts that paid $8 to Elon Musk to show up in your feed. Like in "old timey" social media, your feed in Bsky is simply a chronological list of posts from only accounts you follow. Now that the platform has been up and running for over a year, news media and journalists have largely already made the migration over.
